“Panic Sets In” is a Philadelphia-based band delivering a fresh take on a nostalgic sound rooted in the 2000s alternative rock scene. Drawing inspiration from Pop-Punk, Emo, and Metal bands, they pair heavy riffs and catchy hooks with lyrical themes of love, loss, and modern survival, driven by energy that dares you to let go and have fun.

 

Originally the brainchild of guitarist Justin Trumpler, the project began in 2009 and evolved through several iterations before truly finding its identity in 2019 with the addition of powerhouse vocalist Devon Kelly. In the lead-up to and following their 2020 debut album, “Divide and Devour,” the band became a regular presence in the Philly music scene, playing venues like Kung Fu Necktie, The Fire, Khyber Pass Pub, and eventually landing a live session on Alt 104.5’s “Live at 5.”

 

In 2024, the band dropped a trio of singles: “Leedle,” “Crying Wolf,” and “Falling Backwards,” pushing their sound further with heavier breakdowns, catchier choruses, and a tighter sense of direction.

 

In 2025, Jess Abrams rejoined on bass after an earlier stint with the band in 2021-2022, and Greg Rice came aboard on drums. With renewed momentum and a unified vision, Panic Sets In is entering its strongest chapter yet.
